We operate a 24/7 rescue hotline that can be called any time day or night by anyone wanting help leaving “the life.”
The hotline responders are volunteers who have been trained to answer calls, assess each situation, offer encouragement, and walk through a brief intake process.
If the caller is interested in coming into our program, our hotline responders then work to coordinate with a Rescue Team to pick up and transport her to one of our safe homes.
Volunteer recommended minimum age is 18 years of age, and this team is for women only.
The full Out of Darkness training is required in order to join the Hotline Responders Team, and volunteers must also submit an Out of Darkness volunteer application.
Once you have attended the training and your application has been processed, you will also be asked to do an interview with one of our staff or lead volunteers.
This is simply so we can get to know you better and answer any questions you may have.
**This team is always one of our biggest areas of volunteer need. So even if you do not necessarily feel like Hotline would be a good fit for you, we ask that you would prayerfully consider if this is where God may be calling you to serve. We are glad to answer any questions you have.
